This 6.5-hour master class will review the latest evidence addressing the importance of age-appropriate activities of daily living, specifically postural alignment and support, infant driven feeding experiences and hygiene practices that optimize integrity of not only the skin but the microbiome.
Master Class participants will examine their current practices and identify opportunities for improvement that align with patient safety and quality objectives.
Suggested Practice Improvement Projects include Positioning for Intraventricular Hemorrhage Prevention Bundles, Infant Driven Feeding, Breastfeeding in the NICU, Bathing Practices,and Preserving Skin Integrity, Reducing Pressure Ulcers
This Master Class is awarded 6 contact hours in accordance with 244 CMR 5.04 Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
