This 6.5-hour master class explores the science of sleep and its role in human development. Evidence-based strategies to protect and support sleep for hospitalized newborns and infants are investigated.
Master Class participants will examine how sleep is protected and supported in their clinical setting, uncovering opportunities for improvement that impact patient safety and quality.
Potential Quality Improvement Projects include Transitioning to Safe Sleep, Noise in the NICU, Kangaroo Care, Authentic Ad Lib Caregiving
This Master Class is awarded 6 contact hours in accordance with 244 CMR 5.04 Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
